Creating a soothing bath ritual with Ayurvedic oil massage featuring coconut, bergamot, lemon, and lavender oils.
-
Prepare your bathroom: Start by creating a relaxing atmosphere. You can light some candles or incense, play soothing music, and make sure the room is warm and comfortable.
-
Gather your materials: You will need warm water, a bathtub, an Ayurvedic massage oil such as sesame, coconut, or almond oil, a clean towel, and a dry brush. For massage oil, we recommend the Wilderness Maven Herbal Apocothery SUN RITUAL oil which contains Organic Coconut Oil, Bergamot Essential Oil, Lemon Essential Oil, Lavender Essential Oil, Organic Rose Petals.
-
Dry Brushing: Before getting into the bath, use a dry brush to gently exfoliate your skin. Begin at your feet and work your way up your body using long, sweeping strokes towards your heart. This helps to remove dead skin cells and increase blood circulation.
-
Warm Water: Fill the bathtub with warm water, and add any bath salts, essential oils, or herbs you like to create a relaxing and healing bath experience.
-
Ayurvedic Massage: Once you are in the bath, pour some Ayurvedic massage oil into your hand and begin massaging your body. Start with your feet and work your way up your legs, torso, arms, and neck. Use long, sweeping strokes to stimulate circulation and release tension in your muscles. You can also use circular motions on your joints to help increase flexibility.
-
Relax: After your massage, just relax in the warm water and let the healing properties of the oils and herbs do their work. Take deep breaths and focus on the sensations in your body.
-
Towel Dry: When you're ready to get out of the bath, use a clean towel to gently pat your skin dry. Avoid rubbing your skin too hard, as this can cause irritation.
Enjoy this ayurvedic bathing ritual 3-4 times each week.
