In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, household chores often feel like mundane tasks that need to be checked off the to-do list. However, what if we could turn these routine activities into opportunities for mindfulness and self-care?

One such chore that can be transformed into a meditative practice is folding laundry. In this blog post, we'll explore how folding laundry mindfully can bring a sense of calm and presence to an otherwise ordinary task.

A folding technique I learned from Marie Kondo's The Magic of Tidying Up is how to fold laundry beautifully and perfectly. While it takes a little more time up front, soon you'll be folding all of your articles with pristine symmetry and it's a truly satisfying task to master.

TRY THIS - Mindful Laundry Folding Ritual: 

1. Create an expansive, clean space in preparation for your folding

2. With your basket of warm, fluffy clean clothes, take a few deep breaths

3. Take a moment to dwell in gratitude for the little luxuries in your life

4. If you are folding for others, you may want to say a blessing

5. Begin folding the articles, slowly, taking your time so the clothes are folded in even proportions

6. Stack in an orderly, pleasing pattern

7. Close the ritual by taking a few deep breaths and repeat your gratitude mantra. Congratulations on another task done mindfully and with gratitude.
